Functional Skills Tutor – Chorlton (M21)

Empower learners. Build confidence. Shape brighter futures.

At TP Tutors, we’re searching for passionate and experienced Functional Skills Tutors to support learners in Chorlton (M21). This is a fantastic opportunity for educators who want to deliver meaningful, one-to-one learning outside of the traditional classroom.

You’ll be helping pupils and adult learners develop essential skills in Maths and English, preparing them to achieve their Functional Skills qualifications and improve their future prospects. Many of your learners may be out of mainstream education or need tailored support to rebuild confidence — your patience and creativity will make all the difference.

Sessions are delivered face-to-face, either in the learner’s home or in a community setting such as a local library. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that suit each individual’s level and learning style, ensuring steady progress and motivation along the way.

We’re looking for tutors with experience teaching Functional Skills or GCSE-equivalent content, who can adapt their approach to suit learners of all abilities. A positive attitude, strong subject knowledge, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) are essential.

In return, TP Tutors offers:

  • Competitive pay between £25–£30 per hour

  • Flexible hours during the school day

  • Weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella deductions)

  • Ongoing CPD and dedicated consultant support

If you’re ready to make a difference through empowering, skills-based learning in Chorlton (M21), apply today with your CV and join TP Tutors in helping learners reach their potential.
