Job description

SEN Tutor – Cheadle (SK8)

Help learners rediscover their confidence and love for learning.

At TP Tutors, we’re looking for compassionate and flexible SEN Tutors to support pupils across Cheadle (SK8) who need personalised, 1:1 support outside of mainstream education.

Many of the young people you’ll work with have additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or anxiety, and may have had disrupted school experiences. Your role will be to create calm, structured sessions that build confidence, develop key skills, and help learners progress at their own pace.

You’ll deliver lessons face-to-face, either in the pupil’s home or in a local community space such as a library. Sessions may focus on English, Maths, or broader life skills, depending on each learner’s needs.

We’re looking for tutors who are patient, understanding, and creative in their approach — people who can see potential where others see barriers. Whether you’re a qualified teacher, experienced teaching assistant, or youth mentor, your ability to connect and support will make all the difference.

In return, TP Tutors offers competitive hourly pay between £25–£30, flexible weekday hours, weekly PAYE pay (no umbrella deductions), and the backing of a dedicated consultant to support you every step of the way.

If you want to make a genuine impact and help learners in Cheadle (SK8) reach their full potential, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and start your next rewarding chapter with TP Tutors.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
