Job description

Maths Tutor – Atherton (M46)

At TP Tutors, we’re searching for dedicated Maths Tutors to provide 1:1 support to pupils in Atherton (M46) who need extra help to get back on track.

Our learners may be out of school, lacking confidence in the subject, or working towards important exams such as GCSEs. As a tutor, you’ll deliver engaging, face-to-face sessions that are tailored to each individual’s needs — helping them strengthen their skills and rebuild their confidence with numbers.

Sessions take place in the pupil’s home or a local community setting, such as a library, offering you a flexible and rewarding way to use your teaching skills outside the classroom.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum (KS2–GCSE)

  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or supporting young people

  • Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to individual learning needs

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
