Job description

General Tutor – Manchester (M1)

At TP Tutors, we’re looking for enthusiastic tutors to provide 1:1 support to pupils in Manchester (M1) who need extra help with their learning.

This is a rewarding role for anyone who wants to make a difference outside of the classroom. Our pupils may be struggling with confidence, gaps in learning, or need additional support due to SEND or time out of school. As a tutor, you’ll deliver engaging and personalised sessions that help them progress and re-engage with education.

We’re looking for tutors who can support across Maths, English, and Science, but we also welcome applicants with experience in one specific subject. Sessions are delivered face-to-face, either at a pupil’s home or in a local community setting.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young people (teaching, tutoring, or learning support)

  • Strong subject knowledge in core subjects

  • A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

What TP Tutors offers:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
