Mentor / Tutor – Withington (M20)

Are you passionate about helping young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with education, and believe in themselves again? At TP Tutors, we’re looking for empathetic and committed mentors to support pupils in Withington (M20) who need extra guidance beyond the classroom.

This role focuses on supporting learners who may be struggling with anxiety, low attendance, or social and emotional challenges that affect their education. You’ll work on a 1:1 basis, offering structured learning sessions alongside mentoring and wellbeing support. Sessions are delivered face-to-face, either in a pupil’s home or a community venue such as a local library.

We’re looking for individuals with experience supporting young people, whether through teaching, tutoring, youth work, or pastoral care. The ability to build trust, listen actively, and motivate learners is essential. You’ll be helping students not just to catch up academically, but to rediscover their confidence and independence.

TP Tutors offers flexible weekday hours, competitive pay between £25–£30 per hour, and weekly pay via PAYE with no umbrella deductions. You’ll also receive guidance and ongoing support from your dedicated consultant, as well as access to CPD opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
