Job description

Maths and English Tutor – Marple (SK6)

Inspire confidence. Build skills. Make a difference.

TP Tutors is looking for dedicated and passionate tutors to deliver 1:1 support in Maths and English to pupils across Marple (SK6).

This role is ideal for experienced educators who want to step away from the classroom and focus on meaningful, individualised learning. You’ll be supporting pupils who may have fallen behind, are out of mainstream education, or simply need extra help to reach their potential.

Sessions are delivered face-to-face, either in the pupil’s home or at a local community space such as a library. You’ll plan engaging lessons, adapt your teaching to the learner’s needs, and help them build confidence in key areas like reading, writing, and numeracy.

We’re looking for tutors with solid subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, encouraging approach to teaching. Whether you’re a qualified teacher or have relevant experience in education or tutoring, your skills can make a lasting impact.

TP Tutors offers competitive hourly pay between £25–£30, flexible hours during the school day, weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella deductions, and full support from a dedicated consultant who will match you with suitable learners.

If you’re ready to make a difference and help pupils in Marple (SK6) succeed in Maths and English, apply today with your CV — and take the next step in your tutoring journey with TP Tutors.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
