Job description

ESOL Tutor – Withington (M20)

Help learners find their voice and build brighter futures.

At TP Tutors, we’re looking for caring and dedicated ESOL Tutors to support learners in Withington (M20) who are developing their English language skills.

This rewarding role involves delivering one-to-one and small-group sessions to help learners improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English. Your sessions will help them gain confidence in everyday communication, access further education, and build better opportunities for work and community life.

Lessons are taught face-to-face, either in the learner’s home or a local community venue such as a library. You’ll create supportive, engaging lessons that meet each learner’s level — whether they’re complete beginners or looking to progress towards formal qualifications.

We’d love to hear from you if you have experience teaching ESOL, EFL, or literacy-based subjects, along with strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach. An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply) is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
