Job description

Transition & Reintegration Tutor – Radcliffe (M26)

Rebuild confidence. Restore routine. Rekindle a love for learning.

At TP Tutors, we’re looking for caring and adaptable tutors to support pupils in Radcliffe (M26) who are preparing to return to mainstream education after time away from school.

Many of the young people you’ll work with may have experienced challenges such as anxiety, illness, or social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your role will be to provide calm, structured, 1:1 sessions that help them re-establish confidence, routine, and a positive attitude towards learning.

You’ll work face-to-face with learners in their homes or in community settings like libraries, offering both academic support and emotional encouragement. Sessions often focus on core subjects such as Maths and English, combined with mentoring to help pupils feel ready to reintegrate into a classroom environment.

We’re looking for tutors with experience supporting young people — whether in teaching, tutoring, youth work, or pastoral care. The ability to build rapport, create a sense of safety, and motivate learners is key. An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) is required.

In return, TP Tutors offers:

  • Pay between £25–£30 per hour, depending on experience

  • Flexible weekday hours during the school day

  • Weekly PAYE pay — no umbrella deductions

  • Ongoing training and CPD opportunities

  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement

If you’re ready to help pupils in Radcliffe (M26) take positive steps back into education, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and join TP Tutors in making a lasting difference.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
