Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants experienced in supporting pupils with a variety of learning difficulties for SEN schools across County Durham and Darlington. We have various roles available to commence ASAP.

Ideally applicants will have a Team Teach qualification or be willing to complete the two day de-escalation training course. Experience working with Autism, ADHD, SLD and MLD would be advantageous. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills such as Care Workers, Youth Workers or Support Workers as well as recent graduates.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 Months Experience Supporting SEN Pupils
  • Team Teach Qualification
  • Moving & Handling or Personal Care
  • TA Qualification or Equivalent
  • Patient and Nurturing Manner
