Team Teach trained Teaching Assistant - Manchester

Teaching personnel's partner school in Manchester have recently expressed there demand for a Team- Teach trained teaching assistant to work from September 2019 until July. This role will involve working 5 days per week 8.30am - 3.30am so would be ideal for Teaching Assistants who are looking to work school hours. This school provides education for pupils who have varying needs including: social, emotional and mental health. The setting aims to focus on integrating pupils back into mainstream settings, however this is not always possible.

This setting works in line with the National Curriculum and requires a teaching assistant to support the classroom teacher in encouraging and fostering the development of pupils who show signs of challenging behaviour. The pupils within this setting often behave in aggressive manner and can have aggressive outbursts, so therefore the ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with challenging behaviour.

The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will have:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable)
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Ideally Team-Teach trained (Teaching Personnel can provide)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
