Job description

English Tutors Needed;

  • Primary and secondary level tutoring
  • SEN (Special Educational Needs) experience required
  • Tutoring in schools, public areas, or students' homes
  • Experience with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
  • £25-£30 per hour pay rate
  • Offering both online and in-person tuition

Job Duties:

- Provide quality maths tutoring to students at primary and secondary levels - Tailor teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students with SEN and SEMH requirements - Conduct tutoring sessions in various settings including schools, public areas, and students' homes - Create engaging and interactive lesson plans to enhance student learning - Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in English or Education - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred - Previous experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics - Experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs

Education:

- Degree in Mathematics or Education

Experience:

- Previous tutoring or teaching experience in mathematics

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum for English - Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Patience and empathy when working with students with special educational needs

Preferred Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours - Temporary position - Flexible work locations including schools, public areas, and students' homes - Online and in-person tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
