Team Teach Behaviour Support Worker required in Bradford

Job description

A specialist school in Bradford are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This is a temporary role for one term, with an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff. The school is an 11-19 provision catering for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and challenging behaviour.

Proud of its inclusive practice where every child's needs are met, the school opened in September 2015, as an additional site to compliment an established provision in North Leeds. This is a new £10m building funded via the Education Funding Agency as a response to the growing pressures on special school places in the area.

Based in the inner city area of Manningham, the building covers 4 levels and is modern and spacious in design. With 95 pupils currently on roll, the provision will eventually have 150 pupils, developing over the course of the next two years.

You will be required to support a broad and balanced curriculum, highly differentiated to incorporate the needs of pupils. You must be resilient, able to effectively manage pupil behaviour and responsive to the individual needs of pupils.

As a registered candidate with Teaching Personnel, you will have access to the following:

  • A dedicated consultant with a wealth of experience within the education sector
  • Access to training with Leeds Trinity University including Effective Behaviour Management and Phonics

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
