Teaching Assistant required immediately

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants based in Wigan.

Already this academic year, Teaching Personnel have received a high influx of requests from schools across the Wigan LEA for Teaching Assistants who are able to work on both a full and part-time basis.

With this in mind we now seek to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants or from people who wish to gain an introduction into this line of work.

  • Teaching Assistants - Full and Part-time positions available
  • Competitive pay rates in line with your experience
  • Must hold or be able to apply for a DBS certificate and register it to the update service
  • Immediate start dates available

As a Teaching Assistant working within a number of our client schools, no day will be the same and you can expect to gain opportunities in a number of key areas;

  • Behaviour Support
  • Learning Support
  • SEN Support
  • General Classroom Support
  • Intervention and Tuition

The Teaching Assistant roles that we offer are perfect for experienced Teaching Assistants looking for regular or flexible work within a number of excellent schools, but are also ideal for Graduates who wish to gain experience within a secondary school setting ahead of a teacher training course in the future.

To be considered for the role as a Teaching Assistant you must be flexible, friendly and willing to go the extra mile for students within the school. You must be able to ensure that the needs of each students are met and that they have the opportunity to flourish and excel within school. You will be likely working with students from a varied range of backgrounds so it is essential that you are understanding and able to work well with all students within the schools that you work in.
