TP Tutors is expanding across Bournemouth and surrounding areas, and we’re seeking dedicated, empathetic SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 and small group tuition to children and young people with additional needs.

Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Specialist Support)
Location: Bournemouth & surrounding areas – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time
How You’ll Make a Difference

Deliver tailored, engaging sessions aligned with EHCP targets and individual learning plans

Support learners with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and other additional needs

Assess academic starting points and create structured, achievable progression pathways

Re-engage pupils who may be out of mainstream education or finding school challenging
-
Use differentiated and therapeutic-informed strategies to meet diverse learning styles

Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing

Provide clear and consistent progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors
Your work will help learners rebuild belief in themselves and rediscover a positive relationship with education.
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs
-
Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching approaches
-
Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, or additional barriers to education
-
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
-
Excellent safeguarding knowledge and professional conduct
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
