TP Tutors is expanding across Bournemouth and surrounding areas, and we’re seeking dedicated, empathetic SEN Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 and small group tuition to children and young people with additional needs.

Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Specialist Support)

Location: Bournemouth & surrounding areas – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time


How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Deliver tailored, engaging sessions aligned with EHCP targets and individual learning plans

  • Support learners with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and other additional needs

  • Assess academic starting points and create structured, achievable progression pathways

  • Re-engage pupils who may be out of mainstream education or finding school challenging

  • Use differentiated and therapeutic-informed strategies to meet diverse learning styles

  • Build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing

  • Provide clear and consistent progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors

Your work will help learners rebuild belief in themselves and rediscover a positive relationship with education.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs

  • Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching approaches

  • Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, or additional barriers to education

  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach

  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and professional conduct

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
