Job Vacancy: Estates Manager
Location: Leckwith Cardiff
Salary/Grade: £25,183 - £27,269 (Grade 4)

Are you a skilled facilities professional with a passion for creating safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environments?
We are seeking an experienced Estates Manager to join our team. This role reports to the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher and offers a unique opportunity to manage and develop all aspects of a school site and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise school site services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and specialist equipment.
- Oversee external contractors and monitor associated budgets.
- Maintain and improve school buildings, grounds, and facilities, including routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure health and safety compliance across the school, including fire safety, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
- Supervise site and cleaning staff, allocate tasks, and monitor performance.
- Advise on energy control, resources, and environmental conservation.
- Support school administration, including stock management, minibus maintenance, and lettings systems.
Special Conditions:
- Evening work and alarm callouts may be required.
About You:
- Strong experience in facilities or estates management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management.
- Excellent organisational and supervisory skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively with staff, contractors, and external agencies.
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
