TP Tutors is expanding across Southampton and surrounding areas, and we are looking for passionate, experienced SEN Tutors to deliver tailored 1:1 and small group tuition to learners with additional needs.

Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Small Group Specialist Support)
Location: Southampton & surrounding areas – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time
How You’ll Make a Difference

Plan and deliver personalised sessions aligned to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans

Support pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and other additional needs

Assess starting points and build structured, realistic progression pathways

Re-engage learners who may be out of mainstream education or struggling in traditional settings

Use differentiated, adaptive, and therapeutic-informed teaching strategies

Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing
-
Provide clear and consistent progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors
Your role will go beyond tutoring — you’ll help restore confidence, independence, and belief in education.
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
-
Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching approaches
-
Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or additional barriers to education
-
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

Excellent safeguarding awareness and professionalism
-
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
