TP Tutors is expanding across Southampton and surrounding areas, and we are looking for passionate, experienced SEN Tutors to deliver tailored 1:1 and small group tuition to learners with additional needs.

Role: SEN Tutor (1:1 & Small Group Specialist Support)

Location: Southampton & surrounding areas – learner homes / community settings / flexible delivery
Hours: Flexible – Part-Time or Full-Time

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Plan and deliver personalised sessions aligned to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans

• Support pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and other additional needs

• Assess starting points and build structured, realistic progression pathways

• Re-engage learners who may be out of mainstream education or struggling in traditional settings

• Use differentiated, adaptive, and therapeutic-informed teaching strategies

• Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional wellbeing

• Provide clear and consistent progress updates to families, schools, and TP Tutors

Your role will go beyond tutoring — you’ll help restore confidence, independence, and belief in education.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs

• Strong understanding of inclusive and differentiated teaching approaches

• Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or additional barriers to education

• A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

• Excellent safeguarding awareness and professionalism

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
