Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with a Psychology / Counselling background for one of our vibrant and inclusive client primary school in York.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Special Needs Assistant, preferably with a qualification in Counselling or a Psychology degree. This role is to support a pupil in Key Stage Two who is very disengaged and has emotional/ social barriers to learning. The child requires one to one support from someone who is nurturing but has clear expectations.

If you have a Psychology degree, a Counselling background, or feel that you have extensive experience of supporting a child with similar needs - please apply now.

This role is to start immediately in the summer term and the role will continue into the next academic year providing both the school and yourself are happy. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
