Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a special school for pupils of secondary age. The young people at this school are diagnosed with severe or profound learning difficulties as well as/or intensive autism and complex learning difficulties.
As a teaching assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
To assist with the range of education activities designed to meet the needs of the individual or small group of pupils to whom you are from time to time assigned.
To assist, whenever necessary, with personal hygiene, advice and guidance to pupils. This will include acting in the role of carer at times
To monitor and evaluate programmes on a daily basis
You will be jointly responsible for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults at school, it is a requirement of this role that you adhere to all relevant safeguarding policies and procedures.
