Teaching Personnel are currently supporting numerous mainstream schools across Selby which have specialist 'Hubs' for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

If you are, therefore, a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with a variety of complex needs, then we would like to hear from you!

Our client schools often require Teaching Assistants for both general cover and 1:1 SEN support at short notice. Therefore, we require enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly team of educational professionals, who can provide emergency cover, often at the last minute.

Roles range for day to day cover, as well as longer term positions and permanent vacancies for the right candidates.

Working with Teaching Personnel brings something different every day. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will find yourself either providing much needed support within specialist 'Hubs' or on a 1:1 basis with specific individuals. Our client schools are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLNC).

The ideal applicant will:

  • be a qualified Teaching Assistant OR have experience supporting individuals with complex needs (ideally both)
  • have an understanding of either ASC, SLCN and/or SEMH
  • be hard working, proactive and show the ability to use your own initiative
  • have at least 3 days availability per week
  • have access to your own transport and be flexible to travel around York
