Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have experience of supporting someone with either ADHD or ADD?

Our client school based in Rochdale are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their SEN department from September 2019, to support one of their new students that have recently been diagnosed with ADHD. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a hard working and well respected SEN department at an Ofsted graded 'Good' school.

  • Strong possibility of permanent contract due to good working relationship with school
  • Become part of an excellent SEN department

Teaching Personnel are working with one of our client schools based in the Whitworth area of Rochdale. On their latest inspection they were again rated by Ofsted as 'Good', with Ofsted stating that there is a "relentless drive to embed a culture of high aspirations and expectations throughout the school". This smaller than average secondary school has a positive Progress 8 score in line with the national average, and is a short drive from Rochdale town centre.

Our client school require an individual with experience of supporting with young people with ADHD/ADD to support a student on a 1:1 basis through lessons. The school want to keep the student in mainstream education, and with the provision of a Teaching Assistant hope that this will be achievable. The successful candidate will support the student with classwork and other aspects of school life, as well as acting as a mentor throughout their time in education.
