Job description

Do you have experience with youth work or residential support?

Are you an engaging and inspiring individual capable of building rapport with pupils who are reluctant to engage?

Are you up for the challenge of working in a Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester?

I am looking for an exceptional individual who can support pupils at a Pupil Referral Unit for secondary aged pupils in Manchester. These pupils often exhibit challenging behaviour, often due to emotional or SEN needs, and require someone who can inspire and encourage them to engage with their education.

This school prides itself on being an exciting place to learn, where each pupil is valued and everyone is encouraged to succeed to the best of their ability. In a recent Ofsted Inspection they were judged to be good.

Requirements

  • Experience in youth work, residential support and/or in schools
  • Experience with challenging behaviour
  • Team Teach (desirable)
  • Drivers Licence (desirable)
  • DBS on the update service (or happy to complete one)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
