Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our primary schools in Gwent, Newport to support pupils in a foundation phase year 2 class.

The role will involve supporting pupils who have behavioural and attendance issues working alongside teachers and parents and providing support to a range of children with a variety of needs.

You will need to have first-hand experience working with children supporting SEN or challenging behaviour - Personal or within a classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have a core subject degree or have an education related qualification.

You will be working Monday - Friday between the hours 8:30am- 4pm.

In order to be successful for the role, you will need a child workforce DBS on the update service, be registered with the Education workforce council and provide two successful references.
