KS1/ KS2 Support Assistant
A mainstream primary school in North Liverpool, Sefton are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team of support staff to work KS1 and KS2 pupils in a catch up support role. This is an exciting opportunity for any experienced TA to work in a forward-thinking, modern Primary School. With support from the class teachers you will be expected to work on a full-time basis, five days a week, in order to build a good solid working relationship with the KS1 and KS2 pupils. The school has plenty to offer; with the initial support from the Senior Leadership Team; additional training through staff meetings and CPD; support and training through the Local Authority and other services. The working hours are 8:30-15:30.
You will be required to work with pupils on a 1-1 and group basis to deliver catch up support learning.
What type of candidate are the school looking for?
The school have specified that the successful candidate will be one who has the following qualifications, attributes and experiences;
- Level 2 or above Teaching and Learning in Schools – OR an equivalent qualification or degree.
- Experience working with the Autism Spectrum and Behaviour.
- Prior experience supporting children with specific learning needs on a 1:1 basis.
- A practitioner who has the drive and determination to make a difference every day.
- A practitioner who is committed to the longevity of the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
