Location: Havant, Hampshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a specialist secondary school in Havant to recruit a dedicated SEN Secondary PE Teacher for a full-time position starting ASAP.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient PE teacher who is committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including SEMH, ASD, and additional learning needs, through engaging and inclusive physical education.

The Role:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons to secondary-aged pupils with SEN

  • Adapt the curriculum to meet individual learning, physical, and emotional needs

  • Use sport and physical activity to support students’ confidence, behaviour, and wellbeing

  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Create a safe, structured, and motivating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (SEN experience desirable but not essential)

  • A strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching strategies

  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management

  • Must hold an Enhanced Child Only DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

  • Passion for making a positive difference in young people’s lives
