Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel have an new exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to work in a Special Educational Needs School in Mansfeild from Easter 2021.

The School offers high quality, inclusive education for young people aged 3 - 18 who experience complex learning difficulties. The School has the pupils learning and social needs at the very top of their priorities and ensure that they use a child centred learning approach. They work with all parents, carers and other local authority teams to support the pupils during their time at the school. 

The successful candidates will support pupils with severe learning difficulties throughout the School, so must be confident supporting both primary and secondary aged students. 

Candidates must have:

• You must be qualified in a relevant childcare qualification to at least NNEB, NVQ3 (or equivalent) - Candidates with a lower qualification may also be considered 
• Previous experience of working within SEN is desirable
• Have worked or completed a placement in an SEN School
• Confident working with small groups and one-to-one with pupils
• Be available Full Time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
