Job description

I am working closely with an SEN school in Bournemouth which supports children who have complex leraning disability and communication needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you must be comfortable and experienced at working alongside complex needs such as Autism spectrum conditions; multi-sensory impairment; Hearing or visual impairment with additional needs; Profound and multiple learning disabilities; Complex physical disabilities; Additional medical needs including progressive and degenerative conditions. It is essential to have a good understanding of how best to support these needs and conditions; those with a support work or care background would be ideal.

You will support the students within the classroom and assist with all activities whilst also attending to any of their personal needs and managing behaviour/ emotional wellbeing.

This opportunity as Teaching Assistant is available on a temporary but ongoing basis as the school need additional support regularly. Working hours are full time Monday to Friday, 8.45am-3.30pm approximately - you must be available within these hours.
