*Some previous experience working with children and young people is essential to be considered for this position*

Teaching Personnel work with in partnership with Secondary Schools across the Salford LEA, whereby requirements for Teaching Assistants range from day to day and short term needs, to full time fixed term Teaching Assistant positions. If you are wishing to gain an insight into a number of Secondary SEN schools and build experience prior to completing a teacher training course or furthering studies, this position is perfect for you.

Role and Responsibilities;

  • Supporting students in class, under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Working with pupils outside of the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Recording and reporting behaviour and implementing classroom behaviour policies
  • Tracking progress and feeding back to Senior Leaders (SENCO)
