Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity to support young people with Autism, supporting them with their academic studies and daily school activities.

• Full-time Teaching Assistant.
• Required from September 2020 until the end of the academic year (possibility of permanent contract to follow if successful).
• Supporting pupils with Autism alongside any other additional needs.
• Providing guidance for students aged 11-16 in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Earn up to GBP350 per week, depending on experience.

Our client secondary school in Salford is looking for an additional member of staff to ensure identified pupils have the correct support they require. Many of these pupils require additional guidance alongside the class teacher to stay on task.

The school has recently been refurbished with modern equipment and technology within the SEN department. Many classrooms are equipped with an interactive whiteboard to provide alternative to keep pupils engaged during lessons. The successful candidate will be assigned to support particular pupils and will be given the responsibility of tracking their progress and reporting this back to the class teachers.

Our client school is based in Salford and is easily accessible from the surrounding areas such as Bolton and Leigh. For candidates who do not drive, out client school can also be accessed via public transport from neighbouring areas including Eccles, Swinton and Stretford.

To be considered for this role, it is important that you have some form of experience supporting children and young people previously who have Special Educational Needs. Any previous experience specifically support pupils with ASC will be highly transferrable however is not essential.
