Secondary school Teaching Assistant vacancy - Merton area of South London - Starting from September 2019.

Rate: £70 - £85 per day.

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a full -time Teaching Assistant to start in September on a long term basis with the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate at a Secondary school based in the borough of Merton.

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will consist of:

• Supporting children between key stage 3 and 4 across the curriculum, with a particular focus on the core subjects
• Providing extra support to children with special educational needs or those for whom English is an additional language
• Working with children both in small groups and on a one to one basis
• Building good working relationships with both pupils and staff

Our client is a Secondary school in Merton, South London - which has been praised by Ofsted for its leadership and support provided both towards staff and students, ensuring weak performance is monitored and progress guaranteed.

Pupil's behaviour is exemplary and this is reflected through their appearance and attitudes towards their fellow peers and staff, and this is due to the support and respect they receive within the school.

The school has onsite parking and also boasts great transport links being a short walk from bus stops, the northern line and a train station.

To be successful in the application for this teaching assistant role you will need to:

• Have experience working within a school setting (not essential)
• Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (not essential)
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment /education history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
