Job description

Teaching Assistants are wanted for a primary school in Ealing. The school are looking for Teaching Assistants (TAs), Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are confident in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and social difficulties.

The role involves supporting a year 4 boy with complex behavioural needs with integration into a mainstream school. This additionally will include 1:1, 2:1 and small groups support across the school, behaviour management, developing behaviour plans, adapting lessons, creating innovative resources, report taking, liaising with therapists and overall support of pupils in your care.

Requirements:

  • Must be live in Ealing or surrounding areas
  • Must be able to work full-time and be open to a committed long term placement (2 academic years)
  • Must be able to trial and visit the school in order to secure the role
  • Must have experience working with primary aged children and knowledgeable of national curriculum
  • Must be confident in supporting pupils in Maths, English and Science
  • Degree qualification is highly beneficial however GCSE A*-C are required to secure this role
  • Team Teach, NAPPI and MAPA training is highly beneficial but not essential

Successful applicants will need to provide references and hold an up to date child only DBS registered onto the £13 update service.
