Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants who are available for work within a number of secondary and primary schools based in Wigan.

Already this academic year, Teaching Personnel has received a high influx of requests from schools across the Wigan LEA for Teaching Assistants who are able to work on both a full and part-time basis.

With this in mind, we now seek to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants or from applicants who wish to gain an introduction to this line of work.

Teaching Assistants:

• Full and part-time positions available.
• Competitive pay rates in line with your experience.
• Must hold or be able to apply for a DBS certificate and register it with the update service.
• Immediate start dates available.

As a Teaching Assistant working within a number of our client schools, no day will be the same, and you can expect to gain opportunities in a number of key areas:

• Behaviour Support.
• Learning Support.
• SEN Support.
• General Classroom Support.
• Intervention and Tuition.

The Teaching Assistant roles that we offer are perfect for experienced Teaching Assistants looking for regular or flexible work within a number of excellent schools. They are also ideal for graduates who wish to gain experience within a secondary school setting ahead of a teacher training course in the future.

To be considered for the role as a Teaching Assistant, you must be flexible, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile for students within the school. You must be able to ensure that the needs of each student are met and that they have the opportunity to flourish and excel within the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
