Teaching Assistant - SEMH / SEND Support (Full-Time, September Start)
Do you have proven experience supporting young people with additional needs and the energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment?
We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with ADHD, Autism, SEMH needs, and trauma backgrounds. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and confident in managing behaviour while promoting engagement.
Your role will include:

Supporting students in lessons to remain focused and engaged
-
Implementing behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies
-
Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional development
-
Assisting with both academic and pastoral support
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has atleast 6 months experience working with young people who have SEND/SEMH. This can be in school, care or youth work settings.

Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
-
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Can use initiative and adapt to changing situations
Full-time position starting in September

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
