About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to support young people with Autism within our inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support that enables students to achieve their full potential.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help students develop confidence, independence, communication skills, and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
- Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Encourage social interaction and life skills development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with Autism (school or care setting)
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience
- Understands the importance of routine and structure
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is flexible, positive, and committed to inclusive education
- Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
