Teaching Assistants Required – September 2026 Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you have the patience, empathy, and resilience to make a real difference every day?

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and dynamic team from September 2026, at a specialist school catering for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in an environment where every day brings new challenges—and meaningful successes.

The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students both in and out of the classroom
  • Help manage behaviour in a calm and positive manner
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social development

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring, patient, and resilient attitude
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with SEMH and Autism
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience working with children or young adults experiencing similar difficulties.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
