Teaching Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of 3 specialist schools in Salisbury who have a need for Teaching Assistants to join their team.

All roles are full time with some having opportunities for permanent employment.

As a specialist Teaching Assistant (TA) you will look after children’s physical, social and emotional welfare. You will help to create interesting and engaging learning environments for students and will keep records to monitor their progress. You will work under the instruction of a class teacher and alongside other professionals.

You could be working with students that have the below difficulties. We will do our best to match you to a school that suits your experience and preferences:

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)
• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Learning Difficulties (MLD, SLD)
• Complex needs
• Speech and language impairments
• Physical disabilities

As a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• Experience supporting children or adults with special needs or mental health difficulties
• Sensitivity and Understanding
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• To be flexible and open to change
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Active listening skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
