Autism Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Primary & Secondary) – Salisbury

Are you passionate about supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Salisbury, working across both the primary and secondary age ranges (4–18). This full-time role begins in September 2025 and offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of students with a variety of learning needs, including SEN, SEMH, and ASD.

Role Responsibilities

As an Autism Teaching Assistant, you will be:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis across a range of subjects and activities

  • Assisting in managing behaviour using tailored support strategies

  • Helping pupils to communicate effectively and access the curriculum

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide a consistent and safe environment

  • Creating an atmosphere where every child is encouraged to achieve their personal best

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
