Teaching Assistant Horncastle
Our client school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start after February half term in Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Teaching Personnel are currently supporting a local school to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within a SEN environment with children in KS1&2.
This role is to start after February half term and is full time for at least the remainder of the academic year but may also continue into September 2019. You will be working alongside a supportive Teacher and have support from the SENCO and other school personnel. This is a school where as a Teaching Assistant you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and develop new and existing skills in a challenging but rewarding environment. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant with:
- Experience supporting children in a school setting.
- The ability to set clear boundaries for pupils and has experience in supporting children with behavioural difficulties.
- Over 6 months or more experience in a school setting or with children in alternative provisions
- Ideally will have some form of intervention Training such as Team Teach or equivalent

Your main responsibility is to support the children in KS1 & 2 on a 121 or small group basis. You may also be responsible for supporting the class Teacher with the challenging behaviour in the class and potentially some intervention work in core subject areas.
