Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistants – Day-to-Day Supply
Location: Dorchester and surrounding areas
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Flexible daily supply
Salary: £85–£95 per day (dependent on experience and role)

Overview
Teaching Personnel is seeking dependable and adaptable Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Dorchester. Demand is high for day-to-day supply staff who can respond quickly to short-notice bookings and provide consistent, high-quality support.

Role Responsibilities
• Provide in-class, small group, and 1:1 support as directed by the teacher
• Assist with behaviour management and pupil engagement
• Help prepare learning resources and maintain classroom organisation
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
• Strong communication and a calm, supportive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Good availability for short-notice daily supply
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
