As schools across Wales find themselves back to virtual learning and we continue in such an uncertain time for schools due to national lock-down.
Here at Teaching Personnel we are working closely with a number of schools across Cardiff to support with Teaching Assistants for the return to school.
With the effects lockdown has had on children and being out of the school environment for a large chunk of the year, Primary schools are now looking for more support for when they return, this 1:1 support will be for children with challenging behaviour, Special Educational Need (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and pupils that require extra reading and writing support
The type of Teaching Assistant we are looking for:
- Someone who is patient and nurturing.
- Someone who can understand positive behaviour strategies.
- Someone who can use their own initiative when supporting the pupil and class teacher.
- Someone who has previous experience working with children with additional needs however this does not have to be in an education/ school setting.
Teaching Personnel can offer:
- Start Dates: TBC when schools re-open
- Position: Long Term positions available
- Short term supply available for those wanting to gain more experience
- Pay Rates: From GBP10 per hour dependant on experience
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses offered to prepare you for the challenges since re-opening (Well-being, Mental Health & managing change)
- Full or Part time roles to fit around your lifestyle

To be considered for the role you will need have or willing to obtain a child workforce DBS on the update service, register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) and provide two good or above references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
