Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Are you a teaching assistant looking for a new part-time role?
Do you have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Are you available for work in the afternoons until the end of the academic year?

We are looking for a teaching assistant to work part time, afternoons only in a large local primary school on the North side of Cambridge. The role starts in January and is until the end of the academic year. It will involve supporting a pupil in year 1:1 in KS1 and the hours are from 1.00 - 3.15 everyday. Preferably the school are looking for a candidate with a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification although applications from unqualified candidates are also welcome.
Ideal Candidate:
- Have relevant experience working with Primary aged children in an education setting
- Experience supporting pupils 1:1
- Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs; Physical Disabilities (PD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), Autism (ASC)
- Previously used positive behaviour management techniques, PECS, or Makaton
- Has supported pupils with a range of subjects and has knowledge of the National Primary curriculum
- Has undertaken or is happy to complete safeguarding and other mandatory training
