Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met and fostering their academic and personal development
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning strategies and adapting resources to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Monitor student progress, assess their strengths and areas for improvement, and provide feedback to the teaching team
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent are advantageous
- Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential for building rapport with students and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
