Job description

Teaching Personnel is looking for a driven and passionate Teaching Assistant in a school within central Bath for Now and / or September. This school is an esteemed institution committed to excellence. As part of a Multi Academy Trust, they’re dedicated to fostering mutual growth with a child-centred approach emphasizing emotionally intelligent relationships between staff, parents, students, and governors.

In this Teaching Assistant position, you will be supporting with diverse special educational needs such as:

  • Speech and language difficulties
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism

Allowing these students to access learning alongside teachers both inside and outside of the classroom. If you have experience with any of the above in work and / or personal life, we would love to hear from you!

The successful educator will have:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when faced with challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality for all students, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
