Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a teaching assistant for a Pupil Referral Unit based in Hackney to support students with behavioural needs and autism. This will be for a January start in a provision for primary aged students through to Year 11 of secondary school. The school offer small classes and intensive levels of 1:1 support and are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to support a secondary class who have a new student starting in the New Year. The role will be providing both group and 1:1 support to transition new student. You will need to have experience supporting students with behaviour needs and / or autism as well as good behaviour management skills!

Benefits:

  • Competitive daily rate between £70- £85 dependant upon experience - on PAYE with no hidden fees

Special needs teaching assistant:

  • Has at least 6 months previous experience with behavioural needs or autism
  • Must be confident to deliver 1:1 support
  • Team Teach training would be of an advantage
  • Confident , with good behaviour management skills
  • Be able to motivate and inspire disengaged students into their education
  • School hours : Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 3.30pm - term time in Hackney
  • Must be available for an immediate start
