Looking for a SEN teaching assistant position? Have experience?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic primary school in Purley, Surrey. This SEN school encourage their children to reach for the stars and staff believe that every child matters, every day. They are looking for a full time teaching assistant to support a year 2 class comprised of 8 students with autism and moderate learning difficulties. Previous experience of working as a teaching assistant within a classroom setting is essential, and any 1:1 experience of supporting ASC or MLD is highly desirable.

Trials for this long term position are welcomed by the school any time over the next two weeks. If you would like to be considered, you must have the following:

  • Experience of working as a teaching assistant in either key stage 1 or 2
  • Strong English and Maths skills (at least grade C GCSE)
  • Excellent references from two previous employers or course tutors
  • An enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
  • Full time availability from 8:30am - 4pm
  • Any further relevant training or qualifications are desirable

Teaching Personnel are committed to the professional development of both our teaching and support staff. We offer CPD courses that are either free or at a reduced cost and these can be booked once you are registered and working for us.

We also offer a referral bonus if you recommend another teaching assistant or teacher, who then subsequently registers with us and works for us.
