Teaching Assistant, Darwen

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Darwen based School which provides education and support for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD and ODD. Some of the pupils in School will display challenging behaviours and therefore candidates with their Team Teach qualification will be favoured but this is not essential. The School caters for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education for a number of reasons, often though this is behaviour related.

The School is smaller than average and currently caters for pupils aged between 10 - 17 years of age and there are currently around 60 pupils on roll. The School are looking to appoint a hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and committed Teaching Assistant to support their more challenging pupils.

The role will be full time, working hours are 8.35am - 3pm Monday - Friday and staff will be expected to attend various CPD events and staff de-briefing sessions which may be after 3pm once a week.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
