Teaching Assistant, Darwen Behavioural Unit

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Darwen based School which specifically caters for KS3/4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School is smaller than average and currently has approximately 80 pupils on roll from KS1-4. The pupils in School will display challenging behaviours and candidates with their Team Teach qualification will be favoured, but this is not essential.

The candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours. The candidate will ideally have an understanding of the UK curriculum and experience working across different age groups as you may be expected to move around different classes.

The role will be full time, candidates must be willing to work from 8.40am - 3.15pm Monday - Friday and you will be expected to provide 1:1 and small group tuition.

The role will be starting in the new academic year and candidates will be expected to support pupils who display challenging behaviours.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 70 per day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
