Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant – Ideal for Sports Graduates

Are you a recent sports graduate looking to make a real impact beyond the pitch? We’re recruiting enthusiastic, resilient and motivated individuals to work as Teaching Assistants in specialist school settings, including SEN (Special Educational Needs), SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), Alternative Provision and PRUs (Pupil Referral Units).

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your coaching, teamwork and leadership skills to support young people who need positive role models and consistent encouragement to succeed.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with additional needs in and out of the classroom

  • Delivering structured physical activities and engagement sessions

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Building strong, professional relationships with students and staff

  • Assisting teachers with learning support and classroom management

We’re looking for:

  • A degree in Sports, Coaching, Physical Education or a related field

  • Experience working with young people (coaching, mentoring, tutoring or similar)

  • Resilience, patience and strong communication skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
