Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you want to make a real difference in a vibrant school community?

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our team in Newcastle. In this role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and support staff to help provide tailored support, enabling all students to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEND needs within the classroom and in small group settings
  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and fostering independence
  • Collaborating with teachers and SEND coordinators to adapt learning materials
  • Helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred but not essential)
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and student well-being
