Teaching Assistant/Curriculum Support needed part time for a September start in the Teesside area.
Teaching Personnel supports schools across the country with their staffing and recruitment and the need for a Teaching Assistant to join KS1 is needed in the area of Middlesbrough. The governors are seeking ti appoint a teaching assistant who has valuable experience to join the Key Stage One team in September 2018 on a part time basis. Successful candidates will have a recognise earl years qualification and have an understanding of good primary practice.
The post holder will support Literacy and intervention strategies in Key Stage 1 initially and previous experience would be desirable. The duration of this post is based on the duration of maternity leave.
The school can offer a supportive network of staff to help you settle into your role as well as your own Teaching Personnel Consultant to assist with any queries.
Candidates should show a willingness to make a positive contribution to the school life and have the dedication to raise classroom attainment.
The successful candidate should be:
- An excellent teaching assistant with high expectations of themselves and pupil with the commitment to raise standards
- Able to assist pupils to carry out programmes set by teaching staff and assist individual pupils or small groups of pupils in classroom activities.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
- Recognise equal opportunities.
