Teaching Assistant- Behaviour Support

A full time position commencing after October half term. The position is for a Teaching Assistant who can play a direct role in supporting the holistic development of pupils with challenging behaviour. The position is initially temporary and runs until the end of the academic year. This setting also has permenant roles available so Teaching Assistants seeking permenant roles are encouraged to apply.

This particular setting caters for young people aged 5 - 11 with social, emotional and mental health needs, all of whom have been excluded from their mainstream Primary School. The staff at the setting aim to provide pupils with the necessary support and intervention needed to re-integrate pupils back into mainstream setting; however this is not always achievable.

The pupils at the setting regularly display signs of challenging behaviour so the Teaching Assistant will ideally have experience working with pupils of this nature. . A Teaching Assistant who has previous experience working within a mainstream classroom would be beneficial due to being required to support academically.
